       臨王愷老師的〈麻姑獻壽〉。壽桃代表壽、蝙蝠代表福、鹿代表祿(官位)，此圖意寓著「福祿壽」。

       Magu is a legendary Taoist female immortal; associated with the elixir of life, and a symbolic protector of females in Chinese mythology.  

      Stories in Chinese literature describe Magu as a beautiful young woman with long birdlike fingernails. But in the paintings, Magu will only be painted as a beautiful lady. 

      In Chinese art, Magu gives her birthday greetings is a popular motif. The peach in her hand is immortal peach. Eat one of the immortal peach can live forever. The deer is on behalf of the official position and bat represents good fortune. So this painting has auspicious meaning. It blesses a person can get a high official, live longer and get the blessing.
